4 Important Fertility Questions Answered

Fertility supplements are sold over the counter in the United States.  They are available for purchase without a prescription or recommendation from your doctor.  However, we always recommend a chat with your doctor before starting any supplements to make sure they are appropriate for your care.  If you need help having that conversation with your doctor, or you want to speak with someone from our medical team, reach out and let us know.  We’re here to help!

Miscarriages are unfortunately very common.  1 in 4 women will have a miscarriage in their life.

They happen for multiple reasons, and sometimes it’s hard to tell why they happen.  But one of the best defenses against miscarriage is to make sure your body is ready for conception and pregnancy at the cellular level.  Our supplements are designed to do just that.

A 2007 study demonstrated that DHEA decreases the miscarriage rate of women, starting at age 35. The older a patient is, the bigger the impact on miscarriages will be. The same study also showed that the reduction was likely due to a decrease in chromosomal abnormalities, which are the cause of about half of all miscarriages.

All women are born with all the eggs we will ever have, about 1-2 million.

Each of these eggs contains the “parts” needed, the DNA, to create a human life when fertilized.

By the time women reach 35, they will have approximately 10,000 eggs left, though not everyone goes through this process at the same rate, and some women have much more than others at any given age.

Over time, natural processes of aging start to have an effect on our egg cells.  Essentially, the “parts” of the egg become older, and more "rusty", as levels of CoQ10, the body’s natural antioxidant, begin to fall.

The cell then lacks the energy needed to prepare the quality egg cells for maturation and fertilization -- CoQ10 is a key ingredient in this process.

Our fertility supplements are designed to work to build your fertility foundation at the cellular level, regardless of whether you are going through IVF treatment or trying to conceive on your own.

However, our Fertinatal Fertility DHEA has been show in multiple studies to improve pregnancy chances and reduce miscarriage risk.
